Reminder of verification requirements introduced to ensure measurable, independently validated progress and secure investment support for sustainable repair.
In 2025, the ARIES Team introduced defined timescales into the ARIES process to strengthen accountability and demonstrate commitment in response to increasing regulatory pressures, commercial expectations, and growing consumer demand for carbon reduction.
The standard requires Repairers to measure their baseline emissions and produce a verified Carbon Reduction Management Plan (CRMP), within 90 days of declaring Commitment to the standard.
Support for ARIES is substantial and it's important that we recognise the scale of commitment behind it. To ensure this investment continues, the industry must demonstrate that it is being invested responsibly and is independently verified.
Repairers who declared their commitment during 2025 will have until 31st March 2026 to create and upload their Carbon Reduction Management Plan and have it verified no later than 30th April 2026.
Repairers new to ARIES, after 1st January 2026, will have 90 days from declaring commitment to create and upload their Carbon Reduction Management Plan, followed by 30 days to have it verified.
Across the industry, stakeholders are beginning to review the measures and intentions in place to understand how this investment is being used. Without clear evidence of progress, there is a genuine risk that this support could be reconsidered. In short, the Industry must be able to show measurable results, and completing your plan is a key step in meeting that expectation.
