The Accident Repair Industry Environmental Standard (ARIES) was created to ensure a single standard and united industry approach to protecting the environment.

Our purpose is to reduce the cost of energy, reduce the level of carbon emissions, and to provide evidence that our industry has done so.

Our aim is to create a single, holistic, open, forward-looking, effective, efficient, empowering standard approach that:

  • encompasses accountability, direction, and control
  • is consistently implemented throughout the industry, and
  • includes everyone within the industry, and its engagement with third parties The governing body of ARIES is made up of founding members who are responsible for above, as well as integrity, performance, and success.

The governing body represents and is accountable to the industry. Its role is to ensure signed members of ARIES are adhering to the ARIES standard via independent audit, and that the portal data is protected and only used for the purposes originally intended – to measure industry carbon reduction.

The governing body, and any appointed advisory groups, are expected to meet quarterly, and share summary minutes, recommendations, and actions with all registered members.
