Created by the industry for the industry, ARIES engagement and uptake have already exceeded expectations set just over a year ago. The session was hosted by Chris McKie (Group CEO, Vizion) and Steve Silverwood (Managing Director, ECA Business Energy), alongside Karen Jakes (ARIES Programme Manager), who guided attendees through why ARIES was created, what it means for repairers, and how the standard will continue to evolve.
Guest speakers Wayne Mason-Drust (Accident Express) and Matt Willecome (1st Choice Accident Repair Centre) shared real-world experience from the ARIES Pilot Programme, highlighting the simplicity of the process, the focus it brings to on-site carbon use, and the long-term commitment many businesses are now making.
ARIES supports repairers transitioning from PAS 2060, which was withdrawn at the end of 2025, and helps align the sector with international frameworks such as SBTi. The standard is designed to help repairers reduce emissions through a simple, standardised and transparent approach.
