Especially repairers who have put their first carbon footprint together and created their plan to reduce energy and carbon emission. We really appreciate the investment in time.

ARIES has been an amazing success in getting the industry behind a shared goal. We now have over 1000 users, including over 500 repairer financial entities, covering more than 1100 repairer sites. Over 70% of the industry has committed, and over 50% now have verified plans.

It's no secret that, since the recent geopolitical turmoil, the industry will have to navigate some particularly challenging conditions. The price of energy isn't likely to go down soon. In fact it may even continue to rise. But on the flip side there is much we can do to counter.

The link between reduced energy consumption and profitability has been borne out by research over many years. What's more, there is plenty of help from insurers, which has been steadily growing, to assist research and development of energy reduction practices. At last count, we benefit from 95% insurer industry support, of which 76% are actively funding.

It has been encouraging to see so many members get to grips with energy and carbon emission reduction, and in doing so, increasingly realise the financial returns that flow from it. It's great to see businesses already finding practical answers to their plans.

As we go through the year, this sense of connection and shared purpose will grow. Now is a time for action and collaboration. It's not a time to be a passive observer of change.

There's certainly a lot of work to do, but what we are doing really matters, so keep going.
